Can you take the pulse of a relationship with a cell phone?
Based on findings from a recent PAIRS Foundation survey of more than 1,000 global smart phone users, the answer is a definite maybe.
An analysis of relationship satisfaction scores reveals people using Android devices are likely to rate the overall quality of their closest relationships higher than their iOS counterparts. Typical Android users score their overall relationship pleasure seven percentage points higher than users of Apple devices.
The study compared results of PAIRS Relationship Pleasure Scale assessments submitted via the Yodi Relationship Coach App by users of Android and iOS devices. The Relationship Pleasure Scale is a research-validated measure of relationship cohesion and satisfaction.
The difference between iPhone and Android users becomes more significant when people considered what they’ve built as a couple. In that area, Android users scored their relationships a whopping 16 percentage points higher than Apple consumers.
According to the survey, Android users are also more likely to get excited by how their partners look, feel, and sound. Overall, they rate sensual connection 11 percentage points higher than their Apple peers.
Which users are most likely to rate their sexual satisfaction highest? By five percentage points, once again, Android users come out on top.
