U.S. Air Force officer Madison Marsh has been crowned Miss America 2024.
“You can achieve anything. The sky is not the limit and the only person that’s stopping you is you,” Marsh said in an interview shared via Miss America’s Instagram story.

Marsh said the military has been behind her. “They’ve been so supportive,” Marsh told Fox News.
Marsh, 22, is also a master’s student at the Harvard Kennedy School’s public policy program.
The Washington Post reports Marsh is the first active-duty military women to win the pageant.
“Marsh’s crown matters more when it comes to her job in the Air Force. She busts the myth that women who do the jobs that used to be held only by men have to look and act like them,” Petula Dvorak writes.
