Formula One-race driver Lance Stroll said in November that he was ready to take on the “show” nature of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, but claims he doesn’t want to be “dancing every weekend”, according to RacingNews365.
He made the statement after fellow F1 driver Max Verstappen called the event – which was held for the first time in Sin City that same month – “99 per cent show, one per cent sporting event”.
“It is good for the sport to have a few races like this, where it really puts on a big show for Formula One, and gets everyone watching,” Stroll said in a statement to the media. “Do I want to be jumping and dancing to Tiesto every single weekend? Not really, but occasionally, it is fun for the show,” he added.
Lance Stroll, 25, is a Canadian-Belgian racing driver who has driven for Aston Martin since 2021. His dad, Lawrence Stroll, is executive chairman of Aston Martin and the owner of the Aston Martin F1 team.
Yet Lance is just one of several “nepo babies” in racing – look at father-son duos Jos and Max Verstappen, Jan and Kevin Magnussen, and Michael and Mick Schumacher, for starters.

Lance Stroll is an F1 driver for Aston Martin
Born in 1998 in Montreal, Canada, Lance Stroll made his debut in 2017, reportedly setting records along the way, per his Formula One bio. He’s currently a driver for his dad’s F1 team, Aston Martin. “I’m excited to get behind the wheel of the AMR23 and team up with Fernando this year. We’re ready to drive the team forward,” he wrote on his profile.
His dad is a billionaire – with connections to Hong Kong
If Lance Stroll looks familiar, that’s because he probably is. His dad Lawrence Stroll is a Canadian billionaire businessman with a Forbes-estimated net worth of US$3.6 billion.
Stroll made his fortune by selling his shares in Tommy Hilfiger and Michael Kors, and he masterminded the latter’s hugely successful IPO alongside Hong Kong tycoon Silas Chou in 2011. He followed in his father’s footsteps too – Leo Strulovitch was the man who brought Ralph Lauren and Pierre Cardin to the masses in Canada. (The Stroll name is short for Strulovitch).
Lance’s mother Claire-Anne Stroll is a fashion designer.
His sister Chloe is a singer
Despite being surrounded by sportsmen, Lance’s sister Chloe seems to be making a name for herself in the music industry.
The fashionista’s Instagram bio states that she is a singer-songwriter. She married Australian snowboarder Scotty James in 2023.
Has Lance Stroll ever won a race?
Per his Aston Martin bio, Lance has achieved numerous milestones in his career so far.
While he is yet to win a Formula One race, he has had 130 starts, made the finisher’s podium three times, and earned an impressive 231 championship points.
Who is Lance Stroll dating?
Although Stroll is relatively private about his love life, it was reported in February last year by Sportskeeda that his girlfriend was model Sara Pagliaroli.
However, by September British media had revealed that Stroll was dating Montreal-based model Marilou Bélanger after she posted a photo of the pair kissing on her socials.
